Weapons

In Tower of Fantasy you pull for the weapons, and the character models (AKA Simulacra) comes with it. The weapon and character each have their own name so it can be confusing at first.

It’s easier to remember the Simulacra name rather than the weapon, so that’s how everyone references them, including this website.

Rarity

SSR & SR are the equilvalent of 5* & 4* respectively in Hoyoverse games. No new SR were released after launch.

Elemental Cycle

There is a common cycle for the release of new weapons which is always flame, frost, physical, volt. Weapons move to standard after 3 cycles, but this excludes altered and collab weapons.

New altered weapons usually appear after every two cycles of flame -> volt, but recently that cycle was broken with Void Piercer appearing after only one cycle.

Advancements

Advancements are when you have multiple copies of a weapon that you use to upgrade the power of your weapon further, in the same way that Hoyoverse games work with Constellations and Eidolons etc. Advancements go from A0 to A6.

Matrices

Matrices massively improve the power of your weapons. There are free matrices and gacha ones.

  • limited SSR matrices (weapon specific matrices - the most powerful)
  • standard SSR matrices (Crow, Meryl, Cocoritter etc
  • free boss SSR matrices (Haboela, Scylla)
  • standard SR, R, N matrices (purple, blue, gree - only for beginners)

You can get multiple copies of matrices up to 3* per piece. This means getting 16 copies in total per weapon, which is usually far most costly than 7 copies to max a weapon. Especially when you need some luck to avoid too many duplicates of one set.

When pulling limited matrices, there is a Restricted option on the banner. Click on it and you can set one matrice type to block, e.g. brain. If you already have 4 copies of the brain piece, then block it with this feature to avoid potentially pulling another brain.
