Multi Benediction teams
In the current state of the game (4.7), most multiplayer content involves having more than one Benediction player. There are several reasons for this, but the most important ones are:
- Benediction players can boost overall team damage more effectively than if they were replaced with a DPS player.
- Certain boss mechanics may require Benediction players to succeed.
- They increase survivability in high-damage instances.
With the introduction of the Graying Bite mechanic, the demand for Benediction players with weapons like Brevey or Grey Fox has significantly increased. This is because only these weapons can remove Graying Bite from the entire party, while other players can only remove it from themselves outside of Benediction Resonance by using Fiona which is very weak compared to the new weapons.
When building team compositions for multi-Benediction content, there are several important rules to follow:
- Start with Fiona - The number of Fiona weapons in your team should match the number of DPS players. Additionally, the Benediction player with the higher ATK should link to the player who deals the most damage. In a team with only one DPS player, the Benediction player with Fiona and Grey Fox matrices should use Fiona to link to that player.
- Buff Stacking Mechanics - Some weapon and matrix effects can stack with each other, while others do not. Preparing and testing your team composition before attempting to clear content makes it easier to adjust and optimize your setup for success.
- Role Division - It’s important to divide roles between Benediction players. Splitting responsibilities into dedicated healers and buffers ensures that each player can focus on their assigned task and fully utilize the strengths of their equipped weapons.
Multi Benediction team builds
So far the most popular builds for multi Benediction content are:
4 party content
ID | Weapons | Matrices | Trait |
---|---|---|---|
Player 1 | Fiona / Cocoritter / Grey Fox | P4 Fiona / P4 Cocoritter / P4 Grey Fox | Grey Fox |
Player 2 | Fiona / Brevey / Lyra | P4 Brevey / P4 Zero / P4 Zero | Cocoritter |
Here players can make some adjustments like:
- Swap Grey Fox for Lyra and traits - This shifts the responsibility of healing and Graying Bite removal to one player, while the other focuses more on sustaining damage buffs.
- Swap one Fiona for Zero - This is useful for instances that require a tank. Zero provides additional damage and healing boosts, replacing the resistance boost that Fiona’s link would otherwise provide to the tank.
8 party content
ID | Weapons | Matrices | Trait |
---|---|---|---|
Player 1 | Fiona / Cocoritter / Grey Fox | P4 Fiona / P4 Cocoritter / P4 Grey Fox | Grey Fox |
Player 2 | Fiona / Brevey / Zero | P4 Claudia / P4 Zero / P4 Zero | Brevey |
Player 3 | Fiona / Lyra / Icarus | P2 Yu Lan + P2 Saki Fuwa / P4 Brevey / P2 Grey Fox + P2 Nemesis | Cocoritter |
In 8 party content, players have more flexibility to make changes, especially if some players do not own the weapons or matrices listed above. Planning and preparation play a crucial role in achieving the best possible results during runs.
It’s also worth noting that some weapon and matrix effects can stack with each other. For example:
- Multiple Cocoritter A3 damage and shatter buffs can be active simultaneously.
- Cocoritter’s matrices can increase ATK when using different P2 and P4 combinations in certain instances.
- Brevey can extend the time limit in Origin of War challenges by up to 2 times.
Boss Mechanics and Counterplay
Some bosses require players to complete specific mechanics in order to beat them. In many cases, teams will need to adjust their setups to handle these mechanics. The most common mechanics in current patches, along with the weapons that can counter them, are:
- Multi-hit objectives -> Use Fiona’s discharge and skill
- Boss healing mechanic -> Use Asurada’s discharge or Zero’s fully charged attack (Flame elemental type).
- One shot mechanic -> Utilize Lyra and Grey Fox A5 passives or Zero’s discharge damage immunity.
- Huge AoE damage form bosses -> Rely on Brevey’s Metz link and Nemesis’s dodge healing.
- Boss with a huge shield bar -> Use Cocoritter A3
Relic Coordination
Coordinating relic usage among all players is crucial. Proper timing and use of relics like Omnium Shield, Spacetime Rift, Alternate Destiny, and Thalassic Heart will significantly increase the chances of successfully completing the content.
